Vegafina Year of the Horse

VegaFina’s year of the horse limited edition, It’s not just named after the launched year of the horse, it’s a tribute to the Paso Higüeyano, a native breed in the Dominican Republic. As for the cigar, it measures 6 x 56 and has an elongated pigtail, which the brand says mimics a horse’s tail. The name of the vitola is listed as Higüeyanos. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Like most VegaFinas, it is made at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.

Production was limited to 4,300 boxes of 16 cigars, as previous edition made to honor the symbols of the Chinese zodiac calendar, it leans into some familiar themes: the packaging is red high gloss and gold metal sticker logos, colors that are associated with wealth and prosperity in China; and the 16-count boxes use two rows of eight because eight is a lucky number in China.
